Produced by siblings Neel and Kavita Vohora, this coffee comes from Gaia Farm in Tanzania’s Karatu district. Their family has worked in Tanzanian coffee for generations, and today the siblings bring complementary skills to every harvest. Neel focuses on cultivation and experimentation at the farm, while Kavita, a licensed Q grader, oversees quality, milling, and the family’s export operation in Arusha.

Gaia sits along the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater, where coffee grows at 1,650–1,800 meters in volcanic loam soil. The farm’s coffee plantings are divided into blocks according to variety and microclimate, allowing the team to care for each area individually.
For this lot, whole cherries undergo an initial fermentation before pulping. The coffee then ferments for 36–54 hours before being washed in fresh spring water. This careful processing supports a cup that balances Gesha’s delicate floral character with fruit sweetness and clarity.
