Gathaithi

Kenya

The farms surrounding Gathaithi lie in the highlands of Tetu, Nyeri, where fertile volcanic soils support coffee cultivation. These small plots are connected through Gathaithi Factory, the local washing station. Here, cherries are carefully sorted, pulped, fermented, washed, and soaked before the coffee is dried on raised beds. The landscape and attentive processing help shape the coffee’s clarity, sweetness, and lively character.
